Attention local artists practicing within 100 miles of Bentonville, Arkansas! Midnight Gallery invites you to submit your project proposals for an opportunity to have a solo show of your work in our gallery space.

At Midnight Gallery, our mission is to celebrate and support local artists by providing them with a dedicated space to exhibit their work. We aim for our gallery to be a vibrant space that fosters creativity and community engagement. We are eager to feature a diverse range of artistic expressions.  Artwork in our gallery is insured. 

Midnight Gallery is a 434 sq ft space in front of our speakeasy bar, Callisto. While our gallery is still a separate space, patrons can enter our speakeasy through the gallery. Our goal is to be a center for artistic and social experiences. Being so close to downtown Bentonville and with the foot traffic from patrons of Callisto, there will be a unique opportunity for exposure and engagement!  

What We’re Looking For: 

  • Solo Show Proposals: If you’re an artist with a compelling body of work ready for exhibition, we want to hear from you. 

Duration:

1 quarter (3 months) will be split up to host three solo shows; therefore, each artist selected will have a month long exhibit. We plan on dedicating two quarters in the year of 2025 to solo exhibitions and two to group exhibitions!

Venue Details:

Midnight Gallery - 407 SW A ST, Bentonville AR

  • 434 SQ FT (15.5' x 28') 
  • We do have the capabilities of suspending artwork from ceiling, and our ceiling height is 9'.

Requirements:  
- Must be the age of 18 and older. 
- Must be able to drop off/pick up at our location in Bentonville, AR. 

Application Requirements: To ensure your application receives full consideration for a solo exhibition, please follow these directions closely. Thank you!

  • Application Title: This is the title of your proposed exhibition.
  • Artist Statement: (200-500 words) Introduce us to your artistic practice. This can encompass your process, philosophy, or any techniques, inspirations, and intent.
  • Description/Statement: Include a curatorial statement. This should encompass your artistic practice and how your work aligns with the proposed exhibition title, theme, and overarching goal.
  • PDF - Project Proposal: Artists must submit a PDF portfolio with the images/visuals of your artwork and their descriptions.
  • Visuals: The PDF must provide 15-20 images of any work you plan to exhibit or a portfolio of recent works. We recommend limiting installation shots to 3 images and having the bulk of your portfolio representing the body of your work.
  • Artworks in PDF must include a description: Artist, Title, Year, Medium, Dimensions (inches), Price in dollars (or NFS), First Name and Surname
  • Exhibition Dates: Indicate your preferred exhibition dates by quarter (Q1 / Q2 / Q3 / Q4)

Exhibition details:

Decision Date: TBD 

The Midnight Gallery will retain a 20% commission total on all sales made during the exhibition. Please factor this amount when determining your prices.   
We do not require that your works be for sale; please list NFS under the price description if applicable. 

There is a possibility that works can rotate through the quarterly exhibition if sold during the duration of the exhibit. This will be decided through partnership, collaboration, and clear communication with the artist. We may ask for additional documentation and contact information if necessary if you are selected.

Proposals will be reviewed by our gallery committee based on artistic quality, originality, and alignment with our mission. Selected artists will be contacted directly with further details.
